As part of the ‘Vision 2030’ development plan launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Al Ula region is set to become a major tourist destination thanks to its archaeological treasures and natural beauty. Horse riding is one of the project’s key development areas, with the construction of two equestrian villages: one dedicated to competition (endurance, polo, show jumping and racing, with associated training facilities) and the other dedicated to the equestrian practice and its culture, featuring a museum, an equestrian arts academy and an equestrian theatre. The aim is also to develop a comprehensive equine ecosystem encompassing all the skills and services related to equestrian activities (veterinary care, feed, training, regulations, etc.).
France Cheval Services is supporting the Afalula Equestrian Department (Afalula : French Agency for the Development of AlUla) in the joint development and implementation of the equestrian project. FCS is involved in the design of equestrian facilities currently under development (including a riding school and competition arena) and those planned for the future. France Cheval Services is providing its in-depth knowledge of the equine sector to create a comprehensive equine ecosystem. This includes the organisation of trainings in the main equine professions, the development of veterinary and farriery services, and the publication of best-practice guides for the design and operation of equestrian facilities as examples.
